Registered Nurse
Lifesteps, a local non-profit human services agency, is seeking a caring and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Indiana, PA area.
About the role
This SUB position works one day per month (8 hours, 7am–3pm), preferably on Tuesdays; other days of the week are an option. The Nurse serves as a liaison between Lifesteps staff and medical professionals, consults on cases involving individuals with disabilities and aging adults, trains staff to administer prescribed medical recommendations and protocols, and ensures internal control and compliance for those procedures. The role includes traveling to assigned homes, accompanying individuals and staff on medical appointments as needed, and collaborating with the team to promote healthy lifestyles. Mental Health and/or social work experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Act as liaison between Lifesteps staff and medical professionals
- Consult with staff on cases involving individuals with disabilities and aging adults
- Train staff to administer medical recommendations and protocols as prescribed
- Ensure internal control and compliance for prescribed procedures
- Travel to assigned homes and accompany individuals and staff on medical appointments
- Work with team to promote healthy lifestyle
- Lift, position, and/or move up to 200 lbs with assistance
Requirements
- Current Pennsylvania RN license
- Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
- Acceptable clearances
Schedule
One 8-hour shift per month (7am–3pm), preferably on Tuesdays; other weekdays may be arranged.
