About the role
A registered nurse at Olean General Hospital is expected to utilize a team approach and provide clinical leadership. They are responsible for delivering comprehensive, safe, effective, and appropriate nursing care in alignment with the hospital’s policies and procedures. - Promote the hospital in a positive manner, both within the facility and in the community
- In cases where the Nurse Manager or Supervisor is unavailable, take responsibility for the hospital’s functions, including all departments
Requirements
Minimum of one-year nursing experience. A graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Registered Nurse licensure from the New York State Department of Education. BLS certification is required, while ACLS and PALS certifications are preferred.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Registered Nurse licensure from the New York State Department of Education. Bachelor of Science in nursing or a bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
Skills: Demonstrates leadership ability, good communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills. Knowledge of the principles of life stages and the ability to effectively interact with and provide care to all age groups.
