Registered Nurse

About the role
This part-time Registered Nurse role is an on-site position located in Cloquet, MN. The RN is responsible for providing direct nursing care to residents, including assessments, medication administration, wound care, and monitoring changes in condition. The role involves developing and implementing individualized care plans, documenting in accordance with regulatory and facility standards, and coordinating care with interdisciplinary team members. The RN will provide guidance to nursing assistants, support safe and efficient workflows, and communicate with residents, families, and healthcare providers. Participation in quality improvement initiatives, adherence to infection control and safety protocols, and upholding the organization’s mission and values in all interactions are also key responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents, including assessments, medication administration, wound care, and monitoring changes in condition.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document care in accordance with regulatory and facility standards.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota and eligibility to work in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
- Experience in geriatric, long-term care, or skilled nursing preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in medication administration, wound care, and care plan development.
- Accurate documentation and charting skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and interact with residents and families.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and respond calmly to urgent or changing clinical situations.
- Commitment to person-centered, culturally sensitive, and non-discriminatory care, consistent with a faith-based, mission-driven environment.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and basic computer skills; willingness to learn facility-specific systems.
- CPR certification and knowledge of infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Capacity to perform the physical aspects of nursing, including lifting, repositioning, and extended periods of standing or walking.
