Responsibilities
- Reports to the Nursing Manager and provides clinical services.
- Ensures the quality and adequacy of services provided, and may supervise staff when necessary.
- Administers clinical care, prepares progress notes, and summarizes care.
- Keeps relevant personnel informed of changes in the client’s condition.
Requirements
- Current unencumbered licensure to practice professional nursing in Florida or New Jersey.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Graduated from an accredited Nursing program.
- Minimum of five (5) years of documented experience, with three (3) to five (5) years in infusion care preferred.
- Exceptional nursing assessment skills.
- Complies with accepted professional standards of practice.
- Excellent interpersonal and analytic/critical thinking skills.
- Excellent IV skills, including starting IV lines on difficult patients.
- Pediatric experience a plus.
- Port access experience.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to deal tactfully with clients, staff, and the community.
- Treats clients, staff, and the public with courtesy, respect, and presents a positive public image.
- Understands regulatory compliance, including OSHA and HIPAA.
- May be exposed to blood and other potentially infectious material (OPIM).
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull.
- Variated assistance is required depending on the ability of the client.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
