About the role

Community Eye Care Specialists is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team. Our mission is to provide high-quality, compassionate care to our patients, treating them like family.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing assessment and nursing care to patients in accordance with Physician’s orders, policies, procedures, and processes.
• Teaching patients and families about their care and providing leadership by collaborating with the health care team.
• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care under the supervision of physicians.
• Maintaining standards for professional nursing practice.
• Preparing patients for procedures, obtaining medical histories, administering medications, and documenting care.
• Maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Assisting with medical records and preparing for procedures.
• Maintaining safety protocols and ensuring patient comfort.
• Assisting with patient discharge planning and education.
• Reporting and documenting any unusual occurrences or incidents.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active RN license in the state where work will be conducted.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Current pre-op/PACU experience within the last two years.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge and experience in hospital or ambulatory surgery center settings.
• Ability to make sound judgments based on nursing theory.
• Primary nurse accountability through coordination, communication, and continuity of care.
• Competency in assessing, prioritizing, planning, and implementing direct patient care.
• Initiative for professional development and continuing education.

• Proficiency in patient monitoring equipment.
