Duties And Responsibilities
- Assists in the medical care and treatment of students
- Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration rates, dresses wounds and assist with student physicals
- Administers specified medication and annotates time and amount on patient’s chart
- Assembles, sterilizes and uses various medical equipment and supplies
- Maintains charts for trainees seen by medical personnel
Qualifications
- State Registered Nurse’s License and one year’s experience as a practicing Registered Nurse
- Active, unrestricted license to practice in the state where the center is located
- Prefers two or more years of experience
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred
Additional Requirements
- Knowledge of nursing practices/procedures
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to carry out instructions with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to communicate effectively and relate to the trainee population
About Our Program
Job Corps is the largest nationwide residential career training program in the country and has been operating for more than 60 years. The program helps eligible young people ages 16 through 24 complete their high school education, trains them for meaningful careers, and assists them with obtaining employment.
