Registered Nurse
About the role
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated PRN Registered Nurse to join our Virginia REACH team in supporting youth with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) and mental health needs at our warm, home-like Youth Crisis Therapeutic Home (YCTH) in Culpeper, VA.
- Make a real difference by providing compassionate nursing care to youth with intellectual/developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs
- Administer medications, perform nursing assessments, and ensure each individual receives the highest standard of care
- Educate and empower individuals regarding their physical and mental health
- Collaborate with a dedicated interdisciplinary team to create personalized care and treatment plans
- Ensure safety and compliance by maintaining accurate documentation and following all clinical standards
- Play an essential role in promoting stability, recovery, and hope for those we serve
- Provide guidance to Behavior Techs and LPNs as needed
Requirements
- Current valid, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Virginia
- Knowledge of mental health (MH) and I/DD systems of care preferred
- Experience in crisis prevention and intervention services preferred
- Valid driver’s license and car insurance for occasional transportation to appointments
