Registered Nurse

£18.09 - £21.12 per hour, depending on experience. 42 hours per week on nights (8PM-8AM). Enhancement on overtime. Welcome bonus available after four weeks of service.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the well-being of our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
• Coach and guide the team, providing formal and informal teaching programmes for colleagues and other care professionals.
• Carry out assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans for each resident.
• Monitor work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to relevant standards, policies, and legislation.
• Manage the unit alongside clinical duties, including oversight of care, administering and ordering medication, and reviewing care plans.
• Provide clinical guidance to the care team and deliver best practices continually.
• Ensure policies and standards are kept to a high clinical standard and assist with all CQC tasks.
• Build connections with residents and their families, offering kindness, support, and care.
• Effectively communicate and report clinical issues to other team members and healthcare professionals.
• If working at night, ensure patient safety with enhanced skills, strong critical thinking, and the ability to manage care staff calmly in emergencies.

Requirements

• Valid NMC pin.
• Previous experience ensuring policies and standards are kept to a high clinical standard.
• Confidence in offering clinical guidance to care teams.
• Effective communication and reporting skills.
• For night shifts: strong critical thinking, self-reliance, and the ability to manage care staff and remain calm in emergencies.
