About The Role

The Infusion Center at NVRH sees about 15 - 20 patients per day in this busy and rewarding role.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Safe and Compassionate Infusion Therapy: Administer IV medications and therapies following NVRH and INS standards, while monitoring patient responses and ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Coordinate Clinical and Administrative Operations: Manage scheduling, prior authorizations, and clinical order reviews, while maintaining effective communication with providers, payers, and care teams.
  • Educate and Support Patients and Families: Provide clear, personalized education about treatment plans, assess understanding, and document teaching efforts to promote informed care.
  • Ensure Accurate Documentation and Compliance: Maintain thorough and timely documentation in electronic health records, medication administration logs, and transfusion records in accordance with hospital policies.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved RN School of Nursing.
  • Minimum of two years RN experience required.
  • One-year acute care experience preferred.
  • BSN required.
  • Current Vermont or multi-state compact Registered Nurse license.
  • Current BLS from the American Heart Association.
  • Preferred certifications: Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI).
