Registered Nurse

About the role

The staff RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, therapeutic environments, treatment and modalities, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in the formulation of the overall plan of care for each patient, as evidenced by written documentation.
• Identify needs and problems specific to biophysical, cognitive, developmental, emotional, socio‑cultural, and spiritual domains.
• Demonstrate accountability for ongoing awareness of the status of assigned patients.
• Collect and document data appropriate to the nature and severity of each patient’s condition.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience in postpartum nursing.
• Current California Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification.
• NIHSS certification required within 90 days of employment.
