Registered Nurse

About the role

PRN Overnight Registered Nurse (RN) for clinical research studies, 3‑month contract (November–January), working overnight shifts on an as‑needed basis in Fairway, KS. The position is anticipated to close on Oct 15, 2026 and is fully onsite.

Responsibilities

• Monitor adult and pediatric clinical research participants during overnight studies.
• Arrive between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM to relieve permanent nursing staff.
• Work 10‑12 hour overnight shifts on an as‑needed basis.
• Accurately document participant observations and study‑related activities.
• Collect and manage specimens, including urine and fecal samples, according to protocol requirements.
• Ensure study protocols are followed and participant safety is maintained at all times.
• Serve as the onsite licensed healthcare professional during overnight study operations.
• Collaborate with research teams and communicate effectively with participants and caregivers.

Required Qualifications

• Active Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently in an overnight clinical setting.
• Clinical research experience is not required.
• Experience caring for adult and/or pediatric patients.
• Prior experience in hospital, outpatient, specialty care, or research settings.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $35.00 – $45.00 per hour. Individual compensation within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.

Schedule
