Works under the direction of the Behavioral & Mental Health (BMH) Clinical Operations Manager to facilitate daily operations, including patient flow, staffing assignments, safe patient care, and to promote a healthy work environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. This role is a Full-time Night Shift position at the Scottish Rite location.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum of 1 year of people management experience
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of management/administrative experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience in pediatric and/or psychiatric nursing
Education
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Certification Summary
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of employment
- Marcus Crisis Prevention Program Tier 5 training, or equivalent, within 3 months of employment
- Professional Nursing Certification deemed by department required upon one year of hire

Responsibilities
Practice (Caring for the Patient)
- Supports environment for delivery of care for BMH patients
- Acts as clinical resource for BMH patient populations throughout all areas of hospital, including Emergency Department and inpatient areas
- Maintains competence to provide and/or assist with clinical care, including acting as Code BERT lead

- Participates in educational process related to delivery of healthcare
- Maintains own professional development
- Fosters professional development of others via constructive performance feedback, input, and coaching
- Understands and supports Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's nursing career advancement program, My Nursing Career Path, as well as BMH Tech advancement
