Registered Nurse Ambulatory Triage (RN) - OB/GYN Care - South
About the role
As an Ambulatory Triage Registered Nurse, you will function as a member of the OB/GYN Care team. Your duties will include phone triage, patient education, scheduling appointments, prior authorizations, prescription refills, referrals, care coordination, and other related tasks as needed. Once training is completed, you will work a hybrid schedule, including both onsite at the OB/GYN South office in Indianapolis, Indiana, and remotely from home.
Responsibilities
- Conduct phone triage for patients
- Provide patient education
- Schedule appointments
- Handle prior authorizations
- Manage prescription refills
- Coordinate referrals
- Perform care coordination and other related tasks as needed
Requirements
- Graduate of a National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
- Three years or more of nursing experience
- OB/women’s health experience required
- Previous medical office/outpatient experience preferred
- Phone triage experience a plus
- EPIC experience a plus
