This position is located at Loyola Ambulatory Surgery Center in Oakbrook Terrace. We are seeking Ambulatory Registered Nurses (RNs) with Pre/Post ASC experience. Purpose

The Nurse - Surgery plans and provides professional nursing services and standards of practice in accordance with level of experience and education, state board of nursing, and established policies and procedures. Integrates the art, science, leadership, and knowledge of nursing clinical practice through relationship-centered, compassionate, ethical, and respectful direct and indirect healthcare services.

Responsibilities

  • Professional Nursing Process (ANA): Incorporates and demonstrates standard elements of professional practice: Assess, Diagnose, Outcomes Identification/Solutions, Plan, Implement, Evaluate through documentation, teaching, coordination, and advocacy.
  • Professional Development: Participates in own professional development by maintaining required competencies, licenses, and certifications; identifies learning needs and seeks appropriate assistance or educational offerings; supports the learning and development of others (e.g., staff, patients, families, community).
  • Compassion, Communication, and Stewardship: Incorporates the caring process (Caritas), advocacy, and resource utilization through interpersonal relationships and effective written, verbal, and nonverbal communications.
  • Environment of Care: Practices in an environmentally safe and professional manner; monitors and initiates corrections or evidence-based practices, including equipment and material resources; promotes optimum physical and psychological behaviors; influences effective and financially responsible use of resources.
  • Maintains working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations, Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program, Code of Conduct, and other policies to ensure adherence in a manner reflecting honest, ethical, and professional behavior.
  • Functional Role (RN II – independent): Practice is guided by nursing process and policy/procedure/standards; independently and safely cares for patients common to assigned area; acts as a resource for others and may serve in intermittent expanded roles.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment.
  • Valid driver’s license where required by assignment.

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Specialty credentialing and educational degree according to clinical nursing practice specialty area.

Pay

Pay Range: $41.43 - $62.14 per hour. Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
