Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Float Pool

Role Overview: The registered nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating comprehensive patient care, including direct clinical support, patient and family education, and care transitions. They support professional nursing practice across various settings, adhering to the Mayo Clinic Nursing Practice Model and ANA standards. The RN provides leadership through mentorship, committee participation, and quality improvement initiatives, delegating tasks based on skill, patient acuity, and resource availability. Qualifications & Skills Graduation from an accredited baccalaureate nursing program or equivalent experience with required RN or LPN background.Current RN licensure in applicable state and BLS competency; ACLS certification required within 90 days.Excellent verbal and written communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.Proficiency in computer use and electronic medical records; adaptable to flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, and holidays.Leadership qualities, mentoring ability, and experience in quality improvement.BSN preferred; additional certifications as required by the work area.
