About the role
The Staff RN is an essential member of the Addiction Treatment Center team, providing outpatient services for individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. They work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, treat, and coordinate care, supporting patient transitions to lower levels of care.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient vitals and withdrawal symptoms
- Coordinate care and support medication management
- Assist physicians with prescribing medications for substance use and mental health conditions
- Serve as liaison with labs and pharmacies, ensuring medication access
- Administer injectable medications and monitor treatment progress
- Triages patient calls and provides education
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and coordinate contingency programs
Qualifications & Skills
- Current RN licensure (Vermont recognized) required
- ADN required; BSN preferred
- Minimum three years of relevant RN experience with behavioral health competency
- Experience in substance use disorders preferred
- On-call not required
