Registered Nurse - After-Hours Hospice

Position Summary

The After-Hours Hospice RN delivers compassionate, patient-centered care for individuals receiving comprehensive health care services. This critical role ensures continuity of care by responding to patient needs, managing symptoms, providing emotional support, and offering clinical guidance to patients and families outside of regular business hours.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse through the Kentucky Board of Nursing or through a participating Compact State Board of Nursing.
• Minimum of one (1) year of general nursing experience preferred; new graduate nurses will be considered.
• Demonstrates strong clinical nursing skills and the ability to maintain professionalism during emotionally challenging situations.
• Provides compassionate, patient-centered care while serving diverse populations with respect and cultural sensitivity.
• Adheres to accepted professional, ethical, and legal standards of nursing practice.
• Demonstrates understanding of and commitment to hospice philosophy and the principles of death and dying.
• Maintains current CPR certification.

Requirements

• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile in good working order, that is insured in accordance with state minimum requirements.
