Registered Nurse - Acute Rehab Unit

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Acute Rehab Unit to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on age-specific and cultural needs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality care by measuring outcomes against patient care goals and standards, making adjustments as needed.
• Coordinate patient care delivery, facilitate problem-solving with staff, and communicate issues to management.
• Perform interventions such as medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Document patient care activities accurately and monitor patient conditions, communicating updates to the care team, patients, and families.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including hygiene, nutrition, and mobility.
• Collaborate across disciplines for patient transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.
• Provide patient and family education tailored to individual needs and advocate for their well-being.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current RN license in Iowa or a Compact State.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
