Registered Nurse - Acute MedSurgical - Full-Time

Role And Responsibilities

The nurse practices independently in a clinical setting, providing routine and complex patient care while managing long-term goals and contingencies. They assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to the nursing process, addressing patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs.

• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols, monitoring for side effects
• Document patient information
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers
• Delegate tasks to care providers to effectively manage clinical situations

Qualifications And Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
• At least 1 year of related nursing experience
• Valid RN license in the state of employment or compact license (required)
• Current BLS certification (required)
• PALS certification (mandatory)
• Additional certifications such as ACLS, NRP, or TNCC may be required within specified grace periods
• All new RNs must complete organizational orientation and competency validations, including residency or specialized programs if applicable
