Registered Nurse - Acute Care Orthopedic Telemetry Unit

About the role

Inpatient Registered Nurse responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care in a clinical setting. The unit features private and semi-private rooms, serves patients with diverse acute and chronic conditions, and specializes in surgical orthopedics and total joint care. The environment emphasizes high reliability, collaboration, and community focus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, develop and coordinate individualized care plans, provide direct nursing interventions including treatments and medications, and evaluate patient responses.
• Collaborate proactively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, troubleshoot equipment issues, and participate in evidence-based practice decisions.
• Engage in quality and safety initiatives to improve patient outcomes and uphold organizational standards.
• Ensure compassionate interactions, promote safety, and enhance patient and family satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing, with the ability to perform assessments, coordinate care, and deliver direct patient care.
• Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and clinical judgment skills are essential.
• Must be accountable for meeting unit and organization metrics and committed to ongoing learning and quality improvement.
• Must have completed a Specialty Training Program in Nursing.

Schedule

Work involves shifts from 7a-7:30p, with responsibilities including every other weekend and holiday work.
