Registered Nurse - Acute Care Medical and Oncology Unit

About the role

The Inpatient Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in accordance with state standards, including assessments, treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures. They develop and evaluate individualized care plans, addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Coordinate patient education and discharge planning
• Evaluate nursing interventions
• Delegate tasks based on team member skills
• Troubleshoot equipment issues
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Support unit goals, safety programs, and evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Graduate from a specialty nursing training program required
• Strong teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
• Ability to adapt to changing patient needs
• Ability to contribute to a safe, collaborative environment

Schedule

Evening shifts with every other weekend and holiday coverage.
