Join our 12-bed Acute Care Unit on 6 Main at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. This full-time night shift position (three 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) offers an incredible $25,000 Sign-On Bonus for experienced RNs. You'll care for a diverse range of patients—from CHF to neuro and telemetry cases—with the support of Guthrie's innovative Virtual RNs in our Pulse Center, allowing more time for exceptional bedside care.

Responsibilities
- Provides professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients in an acute care environment, delivering coordinated, safe, compassionate, therapeutic, evidence-based quality care based on individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
- Assesses, diagnoses, plans, implements, and evaluates patients' care, developing and updating the plan of care to achieve patient goals and optimize outcomes.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Advocates for ethical and holistic care by partnering in care planning to promote autonomy, dignity, rights, values, and beliefs of patients.
- Fosters a learning environment for patients, families, nursing, and other healthcare team members, including students.
- Aligns practice with safety and quality standards, integrating evidence and best practices into nursing care to improve patient outcomes.
- Engages in ongoing professional development, practicing at the top of license within legal parameters and promoting a culture of inquiry.
- Demonstrates leadership as a change agent, collaborating with the inter-professional care team to coordinate and delegate care appropriately.
- Proficiency in Information Technology, such as electronic health records and communication systems.
- Works effectively with a wide range of staff as part of an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff.
- Uses independent, critical judgment in all aspects of patient care delivery.
- Manages multiple responsibilities, urgent responses, and challenging situations effectively.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse currently licensed in the state of employment with at least one year of experience. Alternately, less than one year of experience if transitioned from the Newly Licensed Registered Nurse Residency (NLRN) Program.
- BSN in Nursing preferred. Any previously agreed-upon effective date for obtaining a Bachelor's degree in nursing remains in effect.
- Specialty Certification preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS and PALS certifications are unit dependent.
- Must maintain BLS certification and meet unit-specific educational requirements during employment.
