Registered Nurse - Acute Care Cardiovascular Stroke Unit

About the role

The Inpatient Registered Nurse provides comprehensive patient care in a clinical setting, assessing needs, developing and implementing care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The position emphasizes excellence, safety, learning, and innovation within a diverse, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and address physical and psychosocial needs.
• Deliver treatments and administer medications.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
• Coordinate discharge planning.
• Troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
• Participate in evidence‑based practice initiatives.
• Contribute to quality and safety initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

• Graduate from a nursing specialty program (Bachelor's degree preferred).
• Current RN licensure and ACLS certification.
• Experience in cardiac care and stroke education is advantageous.
• Demonstrates compassionate, patient‑centered care.
• Strong teamwork and problem‑solving abilities.
• Adherence to institutional policies and procedures.

Schedule

7 p.m. – 7 a.m. shifts, including every other weekend and holidays.
