Registered Nurse - Acute Care Cardiovascular/Stroke Unit

About the role

The Inpatient Registered Nurse provides comprehensive patient care in a clinical setting, addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs throughout hospitalization. The nurse conducts assessments, develops and implements care plans, administers treatments and medications, and evaluates patient responses. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, facilitation of patient and family education, discharge planning, and active participation in quality and safety initiatives are core components of the role.

Responsibilities

• Complete patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Coordinate care across interdisciplinary teams.
• Administer treatments and medications safely and accurately.
• Troubleshoot and manage medical equipment.
• Participate in evidence‑based practice initiatives.
• Contribute to unit and organizational goals, emphasizing compassionate interactions, safety, and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a nursing specialty program (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• ACLS certification required, especially for units administering cardiac drips and stroke care.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Effective problem‑solving abilities.
• Adherence to institutional policies and procedures.
