Registered Nurse - Advanced Acute Care Cardiovascular Stroke Unit

About the role

The Inpatient RN provides direct patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing activities to meet patient and family needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments within scope of practice and unit standards.
• Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs throughout care.
• Develop and coordinate care plans, including patient education and discharge planning.
• Administer treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies following policies.
• Evaluate intervention effectiveness and adjust care accordingly.
• Collaborate with physicians, ancillary staff, and interdisciplinary teams to resolve patient needs.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and participate in evidence-based practice decisions.
• Engage in quality and safety initiatives, contributing to unit and organizational metrics.
• Promote compassionate, patient-centered care to enhance patient and family experiences.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing specialty program (required).
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Must obtain ACLS certification.
• Experience with cardiac drips and stroke education is advantageous.
