Schedule
7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, including every other weekend
Responsibilities
- Utilize the Nursing Process (Assessment, Planning, Nursing Diagnosis, Implementation, and Evaluation) to provide and document professional nursing care to telemetry and stroke patients in accordance with the medical plan of care, critical pathways, and established SRH and Nursing Policies and Standard Work.
- Coordinate and delegate care with/to other professionals and ancillary personnel.
- Communicate findings as indicated to appropriate person(s).
- Adhere to the requirements for educational hours as outlined in the NIAHO standards for Primary Stroke Center.
- Perform any other job-related duties as requested by Nurse Manager or Director.
Requirements
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certified.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of hire.
- Basic and Advanced Arrhythmia certification within 1 year of hire.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certificate within 1 year of hire.
