About the role

Pathway Family Services in Topeka, KS is seeking a Full‑Time Lead Nurse for its PRTF (Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility). The Lead Nurse leads a team of health‑care professionals, oversees treatment planning for the physical wellbeing of children and adolescents receiving residential behavioral‑health care, ensures assessments are completed, medication orders are fulfilled, families are educated, coordinates health appointments and in‑house medication provider visits, and guarantees documentation meets federal, state, and program requirements. This is an in‑office position.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of health‑care professionals providing oversight and treatment planning for the physical wellbeing of children/adolescents.
• Ensure all nursing assessments are completed.
• Fulfill medication management orders.
• Educate children and families about the care they receive.
• Coordinate and complete health appointments and in‑house medication provider appointments.
• Maintain documentation that meets federal, state, and program requirements.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Kansas.
• Minimum age 21 years and at least 3 years older than the oldest resident.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance that meets agency underwriting standards (for transporting clients).
• Eligibility for credentialing with Kansas Medicaid for billing needs.
• Supervision experience preferred.
