About the role

Pathway Family Services is seeking a Full-Time Lead Nurse to join our team at the PRTF (Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility). This role involves leading a team of healthcare professionals to provide oversight and treatment planning for the physical wellbeing of children and adolescents receiving residential treatment for behavioral health needs. You will work with youth to develop leadership and life skills, ensuring comprehensive care and support.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals in providing nursing care for children and adolescents overcoming trauma.
  • Oversee completion of health assessments and ensure medication management orders are fulfilled.
  • Educate children and families about the care they are receiving.
  • Coordinate and complete health appointments, including in-house medication provider visits.
  • Ensure all documentation meets federal, state, and program requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and team members using a trauma-informed approach.

Requirements

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kansas.
  • Supervision experience preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age and at least 3 years older than the oldest resident.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency underwriting standards for transporting clients.
  • Valid driver’s insurance.
  • Eligible for credentialing with Kansas Medicaid for billing needs.

Pay

Average hourly rate is $39.24 (including wage, incentives, bonuses, overtime, and shift differential).

Schedule

Flexible schedule determined in collaboration with facility administration to cover the needs of a 24/7 residential facility.
