About the role

Provides and documents professional nursing care to surgical patients in accordance with the medical plan of care, critical pathways, established SRH and Nursing Policies and Standard Work.

Responsibilities

• Carefully assesses patients to identify health problems and potential health risks.
• Nursing diagnoses patients based on assessment data.
• Develops a nursing plan of care that addresses patient needs.
• Implements the nursing plan of care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and providing patient education.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of the nursing interventions and adjusts the plan as necessary.
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals and ancillary personnel to coordinate patient care.
• Communicates patient findings and care status to appropriate individuals as needed.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
• ADN degree.
• BLS certified.
