Location: Altamont, TN – Department of Health, Grundy County Health Department (Community Health Services Division). This position requires a criminal background check.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee or holds a privilege to practice in Tennessee under the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• A valid motor vehicle operator license may be required.

Overview

Under general supervision, this role performs registered nursing duties of average difficulty in various settings (institution, clinic, hospital, home care, etc.), including days, evenings, nights, and/or weekends. Responsibilities include nursing assessment and diagnosis, care planning, implementation/intervention, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care and procedures per physician orders and nursing protocol, including administering medication, evaluating side effects, maintaining equipment/supplies, tracking drugs/instruments, and performing basic life support/CPR.
• Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments, collecting health history data and diagnostic tests to determine health status.
• Compares assessment data to established ranges to identify abnormalities and evaluates the effectiveness of patient goals/interventions.
• Documents and maintains patient health and medication records, adjusting care plans as needed.
• Explains tests, procedures, and results to patients, families, and other stakeholders.
• Educates patients, families, groups, and others on healthcare plans.

Driver Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with no DUI, reckless driving, or license suspension for moving violations in the past five years.
• No more than four moving violations in the past five years (exceptions may apply).

Pay

Monthly: $4,562.00 – $5,694.00
Annual: $54,744.00 – $68,328.00

Schedule

Full-time. May include days, evenings, nights, and/or weekends.
