A Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) screening and criminal background check will be conducted prior to employment. A valid motor vehicle operator license may be required.
About the role
Under general supervision, this position performs registered nursing duties of average difficulty in various healthcare settings, including institutions, clinics, hospitals, or home care. Assignments may include days, evenings, nights, and/or weekends. Responsibilities encompass nursing assessment, diagnosis, care planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care and procedures per physician orders and nursing protocol, including:
- Administering medication and evaluating side effects and effectiveness.
- Maintaining healthcare equipment and supplies, tracking drugs and instruments.
- Performing basic life support, CPR, and participating in emergency response.
- Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, collecting health history data from patients and families.
- Conduct diagnostic tests on specimens to determine patient health status.
- Compare assessment data to established ranges to identify abnormalities.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of patient goals and interventions, adjusting care plans as needed.
- Document and maintain patient health and medication records.
- Explain tests, procedures, and results to patients, families, and other stakeholders.
- Educate patients, families, groups, and others on healthcare plans.
Requirements
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee or holds a privilege to practice under the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Compliance with State of Tennessee driver standards:
- Valid driver’s license.
- No DUI, reckless driving, or license suspension for moving violations in the past five years.
- No more than 4 moving violations in the past five years (exceptions may apply).

Monthly: $4,562.00 - $5,694.00
