Registered Medical Technologist Per Diem Day

About the role

To independently perform and report laboratory findings in accordance with policies and procedures of The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, FDA, CAP, AABB, OSHA, CLIA, and JCAHO regulations to facilitate quality patient care.

Education

• Bachelor's degree and certification at the Medical Technologist level (ASCP, AMT, or Equivalent)
• Bachelor's degree and categorical certification consistent with the work performed: C, H, I, BB, M (ASCP)

Experience

• 1 year clinical laboratory experience

Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of clinical laboratory principles, testing methodologies, instrumentation, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform and evaluate complex laboratory testing accurately and efficiently
• Proficient in laboratory information systems and standard computer applications
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
• Able to prioritize workload, work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Troubleshoot technical issues, maintain quality and patient safety standards
• Provide training and guidance to students and new staff
• Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and sound judgment

Pay

Pay Range: $39.33 - $49.16 per hour
