Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee geotechnical engineering and CQA projects from initiation to completion.
- Review project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure adherence to timelines and financial constraints.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Perform geotechnical analysis and assessments to determine soil and rock properties.
- Provide recommendations for foundation design, slope stability, and earth retention systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies and prepare geotechnical reports.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers, architects, and environmental specialists.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address project requirements and concerns.
- Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure the highest standards in geotechnical engineering practices.
- Review and approve design documents, calculations, and reports.
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with geotechnical aspects of projects.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- 4+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a focus on project management.
- Proficient in geotechncal analysis software and other relevant engineering tools.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.
