Quality Engineer
Job Summary
Eastridge Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer for a leading manufacturing organization in Chandler, Arizona. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving manufacturing quality challenges, partnering with customers, and driving continuous process improvements in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Support customer First Article Inspection (FAI) and PPAP activities.
- Ensure products and manufacturing processes meet customer specifications and applicable quality standards.
- Perform quality investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Analyze quality trends and recommend process improvements using statistical tools.
- Conduct internal process, product, and system audits.
- Partner with manufacturing, engineering, suppliers, and customers to resolve quality issues.
- Lead root cause investigations utilizing 8D, Pareto Analysis, SPC, and other quality methodologies.
- Support supplier quality initiatives and customer quality activities.
- Perform capability studies on automated inspection equipment.
- Calibrate basic inspection tools including calipers, torque screwdrivers, and similar measuring devices.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline preferred.
- Experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with PPAP and First Article Inspection (FAI).
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949, or similar quality systems.
- Experience conducting audits and supporting customer quality requirements.
- Knowledge of SPC, CAPA, Root Cause Analysis, 8D, FMEA, Control Plans, and process validation.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Experience in electronics, aerospace, semiconductor, automotive, or other regulated manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
