Registered Dietitian, Resource Center, Days

Responsibilities

• Serve as an expert provider of nutrition-related education and patient care within the Norton Healthcare system.
• Provide direct patient care and support, including comprehensive nutrition assessment, intervention, evidence-based education, and nutrition-focused physical exam under approved policies and protocols.
• Facilitate and coordinate onsite programs and classes on nutrition and relevant health and wellness topics.
• Develop and implement processes and programs; monitor, document, track, and report patient results.
• Provide nutrition support recommendations and changes for patients requiring alternative nutrition.
• Improve patient outcomes measurably and adapt education and services to fit all literacy and socioeconomic levels.
• Utilize critical thinking, decisive clinical judgment, and work with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment.
• Maintain all required certifications and education.
• Function as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with organizational departments, committees, and external programs.
• Train and guide students, interns, and new team members.
• Participate in program research and development, staff and provider training, and other assigned duties.

Qualifications

Required:

• Three years of experience working as a Registered Dietitian.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and/or Dietetics; completion of a dietetic internship.
• State Dietitian (DT) license in Kentucky or Indiana at time of hire.
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification (National).

Desired:

• One year of experience in a specialty healthcare setting.
• Master’s Degree in Nutrition and/or Dietetics.
