About the role

This role involves formulating and implementing personalized nutrition therapy, evaluating patient outcomes, and coordinating nutritional care with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional care and education to patients with obesity and diabetes
• Deliver counseling to patients, caregivers, and medical staff
• Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and medical staff
• Demonstrate professionalism, leadership, performance measurement, and quality improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics (Master’s preferred)
• 1–3 years of registered dietitian experience
• Appropriate licenses or certifications, including the Tennessee Dietitian-Nutritionist license and registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration

Skills

• Knowledge of the Nutrition Care Process and medical nutrition therapy
• Critical thinking and decision making
• Effective communication
• Ability to work independently and counsel others
• Proficiency with nutrient analysis and basic software tools

This position does not involve supervisory duties and requires physical activity such as standing, walking, and reaching, with light exertion.
