Registered Dietitian (Pediatrics) | Draper, UT
About the role
Join our neighborhood clinic in Draper, UT, where you'll work alongside Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), and Physical Therapists (PTs) on complex feeding cases. Your role includes conducting comprehensive nutrition assessments, developing individualized medical nutrition therapy plans, collaborating on interdisciplinary team meetings, and supporting families navigating enteral nutrition and the transition to oral eating.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for pediatric patients across various diagnoses and developmental stages.
- Develop individualized medical nutrition therapy plans tailored to each child's medical, developmental, and sensory needs.
- Collaborate closely with SLPs, OTs, and PTs on complex feeding cases, including tube weaning, oral feeding transitions, and growth concerns.
- Provide family education on pediatric nutrition, feeding development, and practical meal planning.
- Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation in our EMR system.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust nutrition interventions as needed.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case review discussions.
Requirements
You must have current registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) in good standing and current Texas licensure as required. Experience in pediatric nutrition, specialty in feeding disorders, tube weaning, or complex medical nutrition is a plus. Knowledge of enteral nutrition, growth assessment, and feeding development from infancy through adolescence is essential. Comfort using EMR systems and maintaining thorough clinical documentation is also necessary.
