Registered Dietitian - Pediatric - Outpatient - Full-Time - Days

About the role

Seeking a registered dietitian nutritionist to formulate and implement pediatric nutrition therapy at a children’s hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide the Nutrition Care Process, including assessment, diagnosis, and documentation for patients of all ages.
• Develop and adjust individualized nutrition plans, monitor growth and biochemical data, and perform physical assessments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure nutrition care aligns with medical treatments.
• Manage formulas and special recipes, troubleshoot outpatient issues, and coordinate resources for formula access.
• Offer age-specific, culturally appropriate nutrition education and counseling to patients and families.
• Document patient understanding and compliance, and use evidence-based guidelines for care.
• Participate in quality improvement, demonstrate professional growth, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics (Master’s preferred).
• Licensed dietitian-nutritionist and registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Knowledge of pediatric nutrition, growth patterns, and medical nutrition therapy.
• Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical setting.

Physical demands

• Light physical activity, including standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Visual acuity for data analysis.
