Job Summary
Discover a rewarding career at Arcare. We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and results-driven Registered Dietitian to join the Arcare team. In this role, you will provide expert nutritional care and education to patients, families, and caregivers, focusing on Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT), Diabetes Self-Management Education and Training (DSME/T), and other applicable services. The Registered Dietitian will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering comprehensive nutritional programs, empowering patients to achieve their health and wellness goals. This position requires a collaborative individual who can effectively communicate and work with patients of diverse backgrounds and needs, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to all professional guidelines and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and Diabetes Self-Management Education and Training (DSME/T) to patients in Arcare clinics and via Telehealth
- Assess patient nutritional needs and develop individualized care plans using the Nutrition Care Process
- Educate patients and caregivers on nutrition and lifestyle strategies for improved health outcomes
- Document all services accurately in electronic health records, following the Nutrition Care Process
- Collaborate with the Diabetes Self-Management Program team to enhance service offerings and program development
- Use health information systems to manage and improve the delivery of nutrition and diabetes care
- Comply with professional guidelines, including those of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, American Diabetes Association, and federal HIPAA regulations
- Attend team meetings, professional development opportunities, and continuing education to stay updated on best practices
- Perform other duties as assigned to support coordinated care and clinic operations
