About the role
As a Registered Dietitian at DaVita, you’ll be a vital member of each patient’s core care team. You will analyze lab-work results and educate patients—and their families—on what to eat accordingly. Your ability to influence and lead will be critical to helping them live better lives. If you love patient-centered health care and knowing patients on a personal level, this role offers the opportunity to build meaningful, long-term relationships in an intimate outpatient setting.
DaVita is a clinical leader with the highest percentage of facilities meeting or exceeding CMS’s standards in the government’s two key performance programs. We expect our dietitians to commit to improving patient health through clinical goal-setting and quality improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Analyze lab-work results and provide dietary education to patients and their families.
- Work flexible schedules, potentially across multiple facilities, and travel as needed.
- Complete the Competency Assessment for Renal Dietitians (CARD) with a score of at least 80% after hire and training.
- Demonstrate intermediate computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and DaVita-specific applications within 60 days.
Requirements
- State licensure required if licensure is available in the state where the facility is located.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a similar area.
