Position: Registered Dietitian Type: Full-Time, benefit eligible Role Description: The Registered Dietitian provides comprehensive nutritional care for residents in the facility. Ensures compliance with Food Service regulations and standards of practice offering counsel and/or directive to Dietary Managers, Nursing, or Administrators as deemed necessary. The Registered Dietitian participates in weekly “At Risk” meetings, monitors resident weights and nutrition intake as well as makes recommendations regarding resident diets and supplementary needs. Qualifications: Registered Dietitian with clinical and production experience in long term care setting.Certified by the State of Connecticut as a CD-N.Current knowledge of dietary practices, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines as they apply to long term care.Effective communication skills; oral and written.Self-motivated and flexible.Must demonstrate cooperation; team player approach.Must demonstrate patience, tact, enthusiasm, positive attitude.Valid driver’s license with vehicle.
