Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS/Echo Tech)

About the Role

To obtain data on the condition of the patient's heart and circulation through various electronic and mechanical means.

Responsibilities

• Perform Echocardiogram and write preliminary report.
• Log and file completed procedures.
• Regularly upgrade knowledge of techniques and regulations appropriate to the age of patients served.
• Maintain professional growth and development through approved seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
• Make patient appointments and ensure accuracy of billing.
• Perform EKGs, stress tests, and Holter monitors as needed.
• Perform other work-related duties as requested or directed.
• Consistently provide service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers, and co-workers in a manner that reflects Cape Cod Hospital’s commitment to CARES: compassion, accountability, respect, excellence, and service.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least one of the following certifications:
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
• At least one year of specialized experience in Doppler Echocardiography.
• Physical and mental health appropriate to the demands of the position.

Schedule

30 hours per week, rotating days/evenings, Monday–Friday, 10-hour shifts (6a–4p, 7a–5p, or 8a–6p), rotating weekends and holidays.

Pay

Hiring pay range: $39.35 – $57.32 per hour.
