Registered Behavioral Technician (Essex County)

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Visit clients at home or in the community to provide relief to caregivers and holistic support to youth.
  • Work 2-20 hours weekly in 2-4 hour shifts starting after 3 pm during the school year and as early as 8:30 am during the summer.
  • Services are available any day of the week to accommodate the scheduling needs of our clients.
  • Implement and develop interventions from the Individual Support Plan:
    • Environmental arrangement.
    • Proactive strategies.
    • Acquisition of functional skills (including ADL’s – Activities of Daily Living).
    • Reduction of problem behaviors.
  • Submit visit notes promptly following each session in accordance with organizational and compliance guidelines.
  • Comply with service authorization timelines.
  • Crisis prevention, recognition, and intervention.
  • Follow and implement agency policies.
  • Participate in required training.

Qualifications

  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Valid New Jersey Driver’s License.
  • Pass all state and federal background checks.
  • A pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role.
  • Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), with at least one year (1) of supervised experience in implementing behavior support plans for individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities.
