Registered Behavioral Technician

Responsibilities

  • Collecting data about students’ behaviors through direct observation.
  • Aiding Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) as directed with behavior reduction assessments and skill acquisition plans.
  • Teaching students specific behavior skills outlined in treatment plans and fostering their social skills.
  • Communicating behavioral intervention results to students' parents and caregivers.
  • Preparing, entering, and updating all relevant data related to students on caseload.
  • Recording students’ behaviors in measurable terms.
  • Creating a skill acquisition plan for the student and implementing procedures to encourage the student's acquisition of the desired skill.
  • Developing a behavior reduction plan and executing interventions and differential reinforcement procedures.
  • Generating a complete report while adhering to all applicable legal, regulatory, and workplace requirements.
  • Maintaining clear lines of communication and professional boundaries, and implementing supervisors' feedback to improve professional performance.

Requirements

  • Have either completed or be in the process of completing your course credits and hours to become an RBT.
  • Hold a High School Diploma.
  • Possess a valid Georgia Driver’s License.
  • Display effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Show strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse communities.
  • Be able to work independently and collaboratively with others.
  • Have experience with Microsoft 365 Office Products.
  • Be able to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines accordingly.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an RBT and having already completed testing to become an RBT.
