POSITION SUMMARY:
Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) provide clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based on Applied Behavior Analysis in various settings.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings using intensive teaching and natural environment training.
- Follow and record data according to prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction plans.
- Collect and summarize data on observable client behavior.
- Aid in parent and caregiver training aligned with individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols.
- Communicate client progress to parents and caregivers as instructed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Utilize safe and appropriate handling procedures when working with clients.
- Maintain client confidentiality.
- Assist in skill acquisition and behavior reduction assessments.
- Prepare client materials as instructed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
- Collaborate with a treatment team including clients, parents and caregivers, outside professionals, Lead Behavioral Technician, ABA Interns, and co-workers.
- Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required training.

BASIC & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to lift and carry clients with adaptive equipment.
- Able to assume and maintain various postures for extended periods.
- Able to sit for extended periods.
- Able to be physically present at the assigned job location, including home, school, and community placements.
- Able to receive detailed information through oral communication.
- Able to have reliable transportation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- RBT: Entry Level
- RBT Promotions: Potential for promotions based on experience, performance, and education
- Lead RBT
EXPERIENCE:
- Required: None
- PREFERRED: Experience working with children in a classroom or 1:1 setting; experience implementing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis; Educational, Speech, or Allied Health Services experience
EDUCATION:
- Required: High School Diploma
- NET workers: Rising high school juniors or older
- PREFERRED: Completion of 60 hours of college coursework from an accredited university. Enrollment in college coursework for at least 6 hours per semester from an accredited university and/or at least 6 months of experience delivering Applied Behavior Analysis services may be substituted for 60 hours of completed college coursework. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Speech and Hearing Services, or a related field.
