Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) I & II - Quest Kids (Lake Mary)
About the role
At Quest, Inc., you will document each child’s performance on a daily basis via data collection methods specified by your assigned Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will implement all aspects of an individual's treatment plan as outlined by the BCBA, including reactive strategies. You will assist in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the Quest Kids' therapy rooms. You will also assist children with toileting, dressing, grooming, and/or feeding as needed. You will communicate session outcomes with parents/caregivers while maintaining professional boundaries and within the scope of your certification. You will assist the BCBA in developing training materials that are up-to-date with current technologies.
Responsibilities
- Document each child’s performance on a daily basis via data collection method specified by assigned BCBA.
- Implement all aspects of an individual’s treatment plan as developed by the BCBA including reactive strategies.
- Absorb and maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the Quest Kids’ therapy rooms.
- Assist child with toileting, dressing, grooming, and/or feeding as needed.
- Communicate session outcome with parents/caregivers while maintaining professional boundaries and within the scope of one’s certification.
- Aid in the development of training materials that are up-to-date with current technologies.
- Graph all data as assigned.
- Perform job duties in multiple settings including clinic, in-home, school, community or other Quest locations as assigned with limited supervision from BCBA (only applicable to RBT II roles).
- Attend all weekly clinical meetings as an active participant in programmatic discussion.
- Ensure compliance with any and all regulations pertaining to BACB guidelines.
- Follow all Quest policies and procedures.
- Respond promptly and effectively during elopement incidents.
- Be physically capable of moving quickly in elopement situations or other emergency events.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required.
- A 15-mile travel radius based off assigned clinic location for community cases; must be comfortable working in all settings (only applicable to RBT II roles).
- A.A./60+ credits of general studies towards degree in Psychology or related field preferred.
- Prior experience working with young children or with developmentally disabled individuals preferred.
