Registered Behavior Technician (RBT Certification Required)

About the role

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) position at Marklund is a vital part of our mission to enhance the lives of students with profound disabilities. This role is based in Elgin and operates from 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Document all goals/program including daily participation records after completing a task with a student
• Observe and manage the behavior of students according to approved procedures
• Implement behavior management techniques to support students
• Work directly with students one-on-one and in groups outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Aid teachers with classwork and daily care of students with special needs
• Keep equipment in the classroom clean and ensure a safe physical environment for all students
• Train and coach paraprofessionals on behavior techniques and implementation

Requirements

• Illinois Paraprofessional Educator license required, obtainable within 30 days of employment
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) license
• Ability to perform essential functions and meet job requirements

Pay

$23.25 - $24.25 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 4 PM.
