About the role
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) position at Marklund is a vital part of our mission to enhance the lives of students with profound disabilities. This role is based in Elgin and operates from 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Document all goals/program including daily participation records after completing a task with a student
- Observe and manage the behavior of students according to approved procedures
- Implement behavior management techniques to support students
- Work directly with students one-on-one and in groups outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Aid teachers with classwork and daily care of students with special needs
- Keep equipment in the classroom clean and ensure a safe physical environment for all students
- Train and coach paraprofessionals on behavior techniques and implementation
Requirements
- Illinois Paraprofessional Educator license required, obtainable within 30 days of employment
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) license
- Ability to perform essential functions and meet job requirements

Pay
$23.25 - $24.25 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.

Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 4 PM.
