About the role

The Place for Children with Autism is a therapy center on a mission to help children with autism thrive. As a Behavior Therapist, you’ll help children develop new skills, celebrate milestones, and reach their full potential while jumpstarting your own career in behavioral health. The organization provides fully paid comprehensive training to earn your Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification, so no prior experience is required—most new hires are ready to sit for the RBT exam within 35 days of their start date. A $2,000 sign‑on bonus is offered for certified RBTs.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with children ages 2‑8 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them learn communication, social, and daily‑living skills.
• Implement individualized therapy programs designed by Board‑Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), collect data, and participate in team discussions about progress and strategy.
• Use play, movement, and laughter to engage children while promoting skill‑building and growth.
• Partner with clients and their families to celebrate wins, problem‑solve challenges, and support each child’s growth.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Hold a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Have reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Be able to travel to other clinics when assigned.

Skills

• Energetic team player who can bend, squat, lift up to 30 pounds, and keep pace with energetic young learners during play and activities.
• Collaborator able to handle multiple tasks at once—guiding a child, taking notes, communicating with parents or clinical staff.
• Positive role model committed to safety by keeping the therapy environment organized, safe, and welcoming.
• Driven optimist who arrives on time, is ready to learn, takes feedback, and brings a can‑do attitude to the team and families served.
