Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

About the role

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) plays a crucial role in implementing behavior analysis techniques to support individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities. This position requires strong observational skills, patience, and the ability to work closely with clients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Implementing behavior analysis plans as outlined by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
• Observing and documenting client behaviors to inform intervention strategies
• Providing one-on-one support and training to clients and family members
• Collaborating with BCBA and other team members to ensure consistent implementation of treatment plans
• Assisting in the development and maintenance of client records

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if applicable)

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved RBT training program
• Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles
