Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

About the role

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a crucial role at LittleStar ABA Therapy. We provide individualized programs using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to help patients develop essential life skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized programs written by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
• Use ABA techniques to teach new skills to patients
• Provide services in various settings such as therapy centers, homes, schools, workplaces, and community-based settings
• Work closely with patients, families, and other staff members
• Engage in physical activities and manage behavior as needed

Requirements

• A passion for helping others, patience, and kindness
• Dependable and responsible
• Able to learn and adapt to new situations
• Able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other staff
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• At least 18 years of age
• A valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and a clean driving record
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and engage in physical activities
• RBT certification (attained within the orientation/training period if not certified at the time of offer)

Skills

• A strong desire to help individuals with autism
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to manage physical activities and behavior management
